We are looking for a Search Manager for one of the biggest and international Advertising Agencies in Japan.
As the SEM Manager you are responsible for contributing and refining a world class SEM product. Specifically, this will include fully understanding briefs, contributing to wholistic SEM strategies, and working with your planners to build responses and channel strategies that are rational and relevant. As a Search trusted partner you will have a hands on approach to performance optimization (balancing efficiency and driving conversion), automation of processes, and having a testing mindset. Leading with a Search planner you will constantly push for better client results and a leading-edge product.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning:
- With your Search team develop, execute, and manage PPC campaigns, ensuring alignment with broader SEM strategy
- Stay up-to-date with the latest PPC trends, tools, technologies, and best practices. Especially in Japan market
Campaign Management:
- Using Search tools adopt and refine a common approach, methodology, marketing collateral, and training.
- Oversee accounts on Search platforms including Google, Microsoft, & Yahoo
- Conduct keyword research, selection, and segmentation
Optimization & Analysis:
- With your team monitor and optimize campaigns to meet KPIs and budget goals
- Analyze campaign performance using analytics tools & client dashboards/data sources to provide actionable insights
- Adjust bidding strategies based on campaign performance and external factors
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Must know Google Analytics to a strong degree
- Generate and present regular reports on campaign performance, insights, & recommendations
- Run regular partner meetings to align on opportunities and audits
Financial Management:
- Manage PPC budget efficiency, ensuring optimal spend and ROI
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate invoicing and budget tracking
Continuous learnings:
- Understand cultural and market specific nuances of the Japan market to tailor campaigns effectively
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field or equivalence in work experience
- Minimum of 4-5 years of PPC campaign management experience
- Proven experience management PPC campaigns for larger clients
- In depth knowledge on the current landscape, bonus if you have Japan background
- Proficiency in PPC platforms such as Google Ads/Editor, AMO, Bing, Yahoo, & others
- Excellent analytical skills in platforms like Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in Japan; proficiency in English is a significant plus
