Country Manager – Global Ad-Tech company

One of the fastest growing Ad-Tech companies in the world is looking for a Country Manager to Head up their rapidly expanding Tokyo office.

The client provides advanced marketing technology and is one of a few companies in the world to have developed and implemented its own technology 100% based on deep learning.

They have a strong work at home culture and relaxed dress code. They also have a very strong international business culture in the office and diverse work force.

As the country manager you will head up the Tokyo office managing 25 employees. You will report to the head of APAC who is non-Japanese but is also based in Tokyo.

• Have full responsibility for the client's performance in the Japan market
• Implement both short-term and long-term market development strategies
• Identify business expansion opportunities, analyse market potential and target new business of the highest value
• Establish sales objectives and forecast the expected sales volume and profit within the managed territory
• Maintain the sales volume and adjust selling activities in line with the market situation
• Build effective networks across business areas

• 8 years of experience in commercial roles working in an online environment (preferably e-commerce) in Japan/APAC region
• At least a basic knowledge of retargeting
• Extensive knowledge of e-commerce and online advertising markets in the Japan market
• Demonstrated ability to forecast sales and build sales plans
• Ability to understand customers’ needs and requirements and translate these into profitable solutions for both the customers and the company
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
• An entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to develop the business
• Self-motivation, initiative, and high energy
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Strong time management skills
• Fluency in English and Japanese
