Responsibilities
This is a critical role that will be responsible for expanding the brands digital commerce business in Japan. The role is to provide the strong brand and commercial leadership to the effort of growing E-commerce business including the official sites for both brands as well as the 3rd party pure play platforms,
ensuring flawless execution for ongoing initiatives and partnering with local Retail, Merchandizing and Marketing team, plus regional and global counterparts.
In this role, it is expected to drive the consumer focus and customer engagement using the digital technology, the accelerated growth in E-commerce with the omni-channel approach are our key growth strategies, hence this position
assumes to take a lead together with all head of functions as well as key directors/ managers in all commercial functions.
It also includes the realization of data driven decision making for all aspects of the business by developing the capability of platform for data analysis to understand the consumer behavior and its implication for our business to work on
the new initiatives and drive the growth.
- Develop a strategic vision and plan to grow the unified commerce business and super-charge E-commerce in Japan
- Direct responsibility for developing, managing, and achieving financial objectives for the Japanese e-commerce business.
- Partner with regional and global Unified Commerce teams and implement best practices.
- Develop forward-thinking strategies to deliver innovative digital experiences that enhance the brand and drive results
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing and other relevant constituents to develop and manage on-line product assortments and product presentation
- Supervise development of photography and product attributes for online product assortment.
- Review site and marketing performance reports and make optimization recommendations to help reach stated goals.
- Develop strong internal relationships with Marketing, Merchandising, IT, Operations and the Executive Management team which support e-commerce
related initiatives and proactively communicate the status of projects to business owners and other key stakeholders
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in e-commerce roles (business management, merchandising, project management, marketing) with an e-commence retailer(s) specializing in apparel, fashion or
consumer goods. - Acute sense of the brand; high taste level.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Complete knowledge of products, margins, pricing, and operational procedures related to buying and fulfillment.
- A passion and complete knowledge of e-commerce best practices and marketing methodologies.
- Ability to rapidly expand an e-commerce business.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to mentor a team.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Proven ability to multitask.
- Ability to work cross-functionally across an entire organization
