Description
We are working with an international consumer goods business to hire a Marketing Manager (Assistant Manager level) in Tokyo.
This role will take ownership of a globally recognised premium brand within the stationery and creative materials space. You’ll be responsible for driving brand growth, executing marketing strategy, and managing the full product lifecycle in the Japan market.
This is a hands-on, standalone role with strong exposure to global stakeholders and opportunities to expand scope over time.
Responsibilities
- Lead marketing strategy and execution for a premium global brand in Japan
- Plan and deliver product launches, including import and go-to-market strategy
- Develop and execute advertising, promotion, and social media plans
- Drive brand positioning and growth across retail and digital channels
- Analyse sales and margin performance, providing regular reporting and insights
- Manage budgets and ensure effective allocation of marketing spend
- Work closely with international stakeholders and brand owners
- Collaborate with internal and external partners across functions
Requirements
- 3+ years’ marketing experience within a consumer goods environment
- Experience in B2C marketing and brand management
- Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English (global stakeholder interaction required)
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and experience managing performance metrics
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Salary & Benefits
up to 7m base with negotiable bonus.
